U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement on the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) announcement that they will provide Marshall County, Kentucky, with $2.4 million in tornado recovery aid:

"I'm happy to hear Marshall County is already benefitting from FEMA's assistance program and will receive $2.4 million to help recover from last December's tornadoes. We are a long way from fully repairing the damage left by the storm, but this is an important step in the right direction," said Senator McConnell.
